Can I order together with another person/s and how do I place the order with different measurements and items?

A

Yes, you can place an order for multiple people and add their measurements to the designated item. You can pick a measurement profile for the designated item at checkout.

Can I buy a gift card?

A

Yes, there is a Gift Card option in the top bar.

Can I buy an item as a gift and how do i do that?

A

It is only possible if the person you want to buy a garment for already has an account with saved measurements. Without a measurement profile we are not able to make the garment, as most of our items are made-to-measure.

Q

Can I return an item if I don't like it, and how do I do returns?

A

No, we do not do returns if you don't have a valid issue. Our items are made-to-measure, meaning made to the specific measurements of the costumer, that were provided by the costumer. We are no wholesale or drop shipper and we can't resell the items that are returned. We can, however, help you by remaking a garment or fixing it if it has a defect upon arrival. We are happy to help you when you're having difficulties taking your measurements or if there is an issue with the garment.

I am having trouble getting my measurements right. What can i do?

You can contact us and let us know you are having issues getting the measurements right and make a Skype appointment so we can guide you. If you're located in the Netherlands or visiting you can make an appointment with us in our studio so we can take your measurements or go to your local tailor with the instructions and measurement profile of what and how to measure.

Are your products made in China? Because the time of the package arriving is long.

No, all our garments are made in the Netherlands where we are located, but our items are made-to-measure and so, made-to-order. That is why it takes some time to process the order:

  • Measurements get checked
  • The pattern will be made of your specific measurements (you will receive an automatic notification when this is done)
  • The pattern will be cut
  • After cutting the patterns are sent to our atelier. It can happen that your item(s) are sewn quickly, during busy times however it can take a while longer, also when the order consist of multiple items in various colors and fabrics. Therefore we have a 1-3 week production lead time.

    • Q Are you a big company?
    A

    No, with only 3 people we are a small company. What we do is very niche, making custom items for your specific measurements. When we started Ishtar & Brute we wanted to ensure everyone has access to clothing that fits your body beautifully, not your body that has to fit (confection) clothing. Keeping in mind that with different body types garments will never look the same on everyone, but what we can do is make them fit you how they should.

  • Take for example our signature booty wedge. We can make your bum look its absolute best, but you have to keep in mind we’re not able to adjust your anatomy. The more dept you have in the bum (protrusion of the bum), the more wedge our garments can sculpt.
  • There is no filling in our garments, so your hips and bum will stay the same but the leggings will give you more definition, making it seem fuller.
